Cesena
A vital city, where tradition and history blends perfectly with the ability to use renewed energy and turning the gaze towards future. Crossed by the Roman Via Emilia, Cesena is a vibrant city with a splendid center renewed in the latest years to its ancient splendor, a wonderful meeting point both for citizens and tourists. In 1452 Malatesta Novello has given to the city its most precious jewel: the Malatesta Library, built on a former factory of the convent of St. Francis of Minor Friars. There are preserved an heritage of 340 manuscripts, sometimes illuminated, still attached to the original reading benches by chains (stealing the books was struck by excommunication).Another pride for the city of Cesena is the Civic Teater Alessandro Bonci, one of the most prestigious theatrical factories in Romagna.
Beside this Cesena boasts one of the most beautiful and impressive Malatesta's Fortress of Romagna, with its fortifications and restored walkways, located on the top of the hill dominating the city and surrounded by Garampi Park of Remembrance, with its paths immersed in the green ..
A city full of space devoted to art, history and tradition: Archaeological Museum, Civic Painting Gallery, Cassa di Risparmio Painting Gallery, Museum of History of Agriculture, Natural Science Museum, Basilica del Monte.
