Urbino

Added by UNESCO to the World Heritage List in 1998, Urbino, the political and cultural center of Montefeltro area, can be immediately spotted by its unique "Palazzo Ducale", one of the most distinguished masterpieces of Renaissance art.
The town experienced a spectacular artistic flowering during the sixteenth century, attracting artists and scholars from all over Italy and beyond and influencing cultural developments all over Europe. Surely deserves at least a one day long trip to visit its museums and see with your own eyes what strucks the immagination of the millions of its visitors every year.
